Craniosacral Therapy
Craniosacral therapy is an adjunct of osteopathy and chiropracty. It was developed early in the 20th century by Dr. William Sutherland who advanced the theory that cranial bones, far from being completely fixed, do move. Head trauma of any sort can misalign them and cause problems such as chronic headaches, back or neck pain, sciatica, and TMJ jaw problems. It is usually performed by osteopathic physicians or chiropractors who have received additional training in the techniques. These professionals claim the greatest successes in treating children and infants for chronic earaches, hyperactivity, and irritability. |
